Role Overview
The Draftsman will be responsible for preparing detailed fabrication and manufacturing drawings for electrical panels, BESS containers, battery enclosures, and associated mechanical assemblies. The candidate should have experience in drafting, detailing, sheet metal drawings, and preparation of GA and fabrication drawings for industrial and BESS applications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Drafting & Detailing
• Prepare detailed 2D drawings and fabrication drawings for:
– BESS containers
– Electrical panels
– ACDB panels
– Battery enclosures
– Battery racks
– Structural supports
• Prepare:
– GA drawings
– Fabrication drawings
– Assembly drawings
– BOMs
– Isometric drawings
– Sheet metal flat patterns
2. Design Support
• Support mechanical design engineers in drawing preparation and revisions.
• Update drawings as per engineering comments and site feedback.
• Maintain revision records and drawing documentation.
3. Manufacturing Coordination
• Coordinate with production and fabrication teams.
• Support shop-floor clarification related to drawings.
• Ensure drawings are released as per project schedule.
4. Standards & Documentation
• Follow company drafting standards and customer requirements.
• Ensure drawing accuracy and proper dimensioning.
• Maintain drawing database and documentation control.
