What will I be doing at Ather?
## 1. Managerial Scope:
You’ll be responsible for one of the following warehouse sections:
1. Vehicle Assembly Inbound
2. Vehicle Assembly Line Feeding
3. ACED & Paint Shop Warehouse
4. Battery & Box-Build Assembly Warehouse
### 1.1 Section KPI Management
* Performance Review: Accountable for the section’s performance across 5S, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale (SQDCM). Lead daily/weekly performance reviews to analyze variances and implement corrective actions.
* Alignment: Ensure section goals are cascaded down to every individual operator and technician.
### 1.2 Strategic Programs & Engagement
* Zone-Wise Scorecards: Implement and manage granular scorecards for different zones to ensure accountability at the micro-level.
* Competitions (R&R) & Gamification: Design and execute internal section competitions to boost morale and productivity. Formalize a "Zone Excellence" program to recognize high-performing teams and individuals.
* Continuous Improvement (CI) Culture: Facilitate "Kaizen" workshops and encourage a bottom-up approach to problem-solving using 8D or RCA format.
* SOP Readiness & Compliance: Develop comprehensive SOP and WI for respective sections operations. Ensure strict adherence through structured training and active supervision of task execution.
* Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Effectively manage internal and external relationships across Key departments, including Supply Chain, Production, Quality, Maintenance, and HR, to ensure seamless operational alignmen t
### 1.3 Section Leadership & Process Governance
* Leadership: Lead by example by being hands-on in problem solving, coaching and demonstrating support to the team whenever required.
* 5S & Safety Governance: Set the 5S standards and rigorously drive 5S initiatives towards creating a world-class warehouse facility. Drive "Safety First" behavior by identifying near-misses and enforcing PPE compliance and ergonomic standards.
* Process Audits (LPA/Line Walk): LPA Checklist:Review L0 LPA adherence and conduct L1 LPA on a daily basis. Record all NCs (Non-Conformities) and escalate for corrective action.
* Line Walk Observations:Dedicate 15-20 minutes daily to look for abnormalities, capture them in the observation sheet, and drive closure.
## 2. Individual Scope: Operational Excellence
### 2.1 Workplace Beautification & Visual Management
* Workplace Beautification : Your mission is to curate a vibrant, clutter-free, and welcoming workspace by prioritizing continuous workplace beautification and visually appealing break areas. You will create an environment that inspires enthusiasm, comfort and motivation across your team.
* Visual Management & Control (Andon) :Maintain Warehouse Standards. Implement visual controls that tell the status of the section at a glance.
* Continuous Improvement: Benchmarking Of World class practices and metrics in same business and different businesses to unlock further improvement
### 2.2 Driving Productivity & Efficiency
* Process Optimization: Use Lean Manufacturing tools (Value Stream Mapping, SMED) to identify bottlenecks and improve throughput.
* Productivity through NVA Elimination: Actively identify NVAs and Re-engineer workflows to reduce waste, allowing for strategic headcount optimization through multi-skilling and automation.
* Asset & Space Utilization:To ensure maximum efficiency, we need to refine our physical footprint and implement best-in-class warehouse layout processes.The goal is to achieve our operational targets by utilizing all available floor space effectively
### 2.3 Proactive Risk mitigation and Data First Approach
* Proactive Risk Mitigation:Move from reactive "firefighting" to toward a more robust, proactive risk management strategy.anticipate process failures before they occur and plan for the mitigation plan.
* Problem Solving using Data:Transition from "gut-feel" to data-led decisions.Use "Data-First" performance reviews. Move away from subjective opinions to metrics & systematic problem solving approaches like RCA, 8D, Pareto, etc.
* Automation Projects (Good to have):Identify manual, repetitive, or critical tasks for digitization & automation.
* Industry 4.0/ AI (Good to have): Harness the power of technology & AI for creative problem solving: AMR for feeding, space planning using forecasting models, Traffic mgmt. & Route optimisation of MHEs, AR/VR for training, RFID/ BLE for asset tracking,..
What kind of experience & skills do I need for this role?
* Min. 7+ Years of experience in warehouse function with good team management history
* Decent knowledge of SAP WM and hands on experience in using MIS tools
* Great interpersonal & communication skills
* Critical thinking and Problem solving skills
