## Role overview Dhruva Space is seeking a skilled Avionics QA/QC Engineer to oversee quality assurance across the lifecycle of satellite hardware and space systems. The role involves ensuring compliance with aerospace standards, performing inspections, verifying documentation, and supporting mission-critical reviews. The candidate will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to drive product quality and process discipline, contributing directly to spacecraft reliability and mission success. ## Key responsibilities * Conduct inspections of incoming materials, EEE components, PCBs, harnesses, mechanical parts and flight hardware in accordance with IPC, ECSS, ESA and aerospace standards. * Perform in-process and final inspections during Assembly, Integration and Testing (AIT) phases of satellite manufacturing. * Implement and monitor cleanroom protocols, ESD control and contamination control procedures during spacecraft integration and environmental testing. * Prepare, maintain and verify detailed documentation including inspection reports, defect logs, non-conformance reports (NCRs), Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), checklists and product assurance documents. * Review and verify supplier documentation, manufacturing records and process certifications to ensure compliance with contractual and standard requirements. * Verify workmanship quality against standards such as IPC, ECSS, et.,. * Act as the QA representative during critical environmental tests (TVAC, vibration, EMI/EMC, thermal cycling, acoustic, etc.), witnessing and ensuring proper execution. * Support design and project lifecycle reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR, FRR) from a QA perspective, ensuring compliance to reliability and quality objectives. * Participate in and support the selection, screening, derating and qualification of EEE components for space applications. * Drive process adherence by creating and verifying checklists, conducting audits and ensuring alignment with product assurance frameworks. * Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing process gaps, proposing corrective/preventive actions, and ensuring effective implementation. ## Candidate requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related field. * Minimum 3 years of experience in QA/QC roles within the satellite, aerospace or defence manufacturing sectors. * Strong understanding of both product quality and process quality within the aerospace domain. * In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with AS9100D, ECSS-Q and ISO 9001 quality frameworks. * Familiarity with inspection methodologies, cleanroom operations and high-reliability soldering and assembly standards. * Proven ability in documentation, verification of documents, preparation of reports and creation of QA checklists. * Experience using standard inspection tools and interpreting engineering drawings, datasheets and specifications.
