Qualification: M.Sc. with 2-5 Yrs Experience (Molecular Biology/ Strain Engineering)
Profile: Synthetic biology, Molecular biologist, Pathway engineering, Genetic engineering, Fungal genetics, Clone development
Primary competence:
· Execution of projects related to genetic engineering, primarily involving cloning and protein expression in hosts like E. coli, Bacillus subtilis, Yarrowia lipolytica, Saccharomyces, P. pastoris, Trichoderma, and Aspergillus.
· Responsible for the design and execution of R&D projects involving synthetic biology.
· The position requires full-time bench work, performing cloning and expression-related experiments.
· Hands-on experience in techniques such as end-point PCR, AGE, SDS-PAGE, RT-PCR, HCP assays, and other bioanalytical tools is essential.
· Experience in pathway engineering through gene overexpression, knockout studies, stable genomic integration, upregulation, and downregulation.
· Well-versed in molecular techniques including Gibson assembly and CRISPR-Cas9.
· Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting molecular biology experiments such as PCR, plasmid isolation, gel electrophoresis (horizontal and vertical), western blotting, bioanalytical techniques, and microbial culture and maintenance.
· Responsible for analysis, documentation, and reporting of experimental data.
Secondary competence:
· Ensuring all project-related documentation, including reports, presentations, and team compliance, is in place. Also responsible for training team members on SOPs, analytical procedures, and data recording.
· Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
· Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Important: Candidates with molecular diagnostics experience are not eligible for this role.
