The Mission

Mandrake Bio is a protein-design company building the next generation of programmable gene-editing enzymes. Its platform designs editors from scratch, pairing generative AI with first-principles biophysics and wet-lab validation to engineer the compactness, precision, and dynamic control that the highest-impact applications in agriculture and medicine demand. Gene editing is the core of what we do. If you're a wet-lab scientist or engineer who wants to push editing technology forward — in therapeutics, in agriculture, or on the platform itself — reach out even if our listed roles don't fit exactly.

• Therapeutic biology — mammalian/primary cells, disease models, delivery, editing safety.
• Agricultural biology — plant transformation, trait engineering, crop systems.
• High-throughput experimentation & automation — arrayed/multiplex screening, liquid handling, miniaturization.
• Library & construct engineering — complex DNA/RNA libraries, cloning at scale.
• Editing characterization — specificity, off-target, and outcome profiling.

You're a Great Fit If You

• Are hands-on at the bench and obsessed with getting editing to work reliably and at scale.
• Design rigorous, interpretable experiments and communicate clearly.
• Want extreme ownership and collaborate well with computational/AI teams.
