Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Application DSP Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in digital signal processing, embedded systems, and algorithm implementation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, optimize, test, and deploy DSP solutions for real-world applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize DSP algorithms for embedded platforms (e.g., ARM, DSP cores, microcontrollers, or dedicated accelerators).
- Analyze system requirements and translate them into algorithmic specifications.
- Perform signal modeling, simulation, and validation using tools such as MATLAB, Python, or Simulink.
- Work with hardware, firmware, and software teams to integrate DSP modules into production systems.
- Conduct performance optimization, including latency reduction, memory optimization, and power efficiency improvements.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues at both algorithm and system levels.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, test plans, and reports.
- Support customer applications and provide technical insights when needed (for application-focused roles).
Requirements
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years.
- Coding: C, Python
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of:
- Implementation specifics of DSP algorithms
- Fixed point and floating point arithmetic
- Data movement in implementation of algorithms
- Basic mathematical concepts
- Digital Design concepts: FIFO design, FSM design, etc
- Basic knowledge of digital design synthesis
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
