Job Title : Manager - Safety
Location:
Electronics City, Bangalore
NoPo Nanotechnologies one of the few deep tech
companies globally that leads the research and development in the nanotubes
space. The company manufactures and sells high-quality single walled carbon
nanotubes using proprietary methods known as HiPCO®. These nanotubes are
extremely small and strong, with a range of useful properties such as
semi-conductivity, low density, and high conductivity. They have been used in a
variety of applications, including Li-ion batteries, space, defence, and
electronics. NoPo is currently scaling up production to meet the customer
demands.
Job Summary :
As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of
employees, facilities and the environment in accordance with regulatory requirements
and company policies required to service global customers in the EV and
electronics/semiconductor space. Your role will involve developing and
implementing safety programs, conducting safety audits and providing safety
training to employees. You will also be responsible for investigating accidents
and near-misses and implementing corrective and preventive measures to ensure a
safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety
policies and procedures in compliance with regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections
and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Provide safety training to
employees on topics such as hazardous materials handling, emergency response and
personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Investigate accidents,
near-misses, and other safety incidents to determine root causes and implement
corrective and preventive measures.
- Experience working in
high-pressure or high-temperature environments, ensuring safety protocols are
followed and risks are minimized.
- Maintain safety records and
documentation, including incident reports, training records, and safety data
sheets (SDS).
- Coordinate with regulatory
agencies and external auditors on safety compliance issues.
- Participate in safety committees
and meetings to discuss safety issues and initiatives.
- Stay informed about new safety
regulations and industry best practices.
Requirements
- B.Sc/BE/B.Tech/M.Sc/ME/M.Tech
holder in any discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
in safety management, preferably in the chemical, biotech, or pharmaceutical
industry.
- Certification in safety management
(e.g., CSP, ASP, CIH) will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of safety
regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, NFPA).
- Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and
as part of a team
