Implement, maintain, and continuously improve QA procedures aligned with JSS 55555, MIL-Q, MIL-STD, and ISO 9001/AS9100 requirements.

Lead root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) and ensure permanent corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for mission-critical electronic and electro-mechanical systems.

Perform detailed PCB schematic, layout, stack-up, creepage/clearance, grounding, shielding, and BOM reviews with emphasis on EMI/EMC robustness, derating, redundancy, and reliability.

Qualify and audit suppliers as per Defence QA expectations, including EMS, PCB fabs, cable harness vendors, and precision machine shops. Define Incoming Quality Control (IQC) plans based on JSS 55555, IPC, MIL specs, including sampling plans, traceability, and COC/COA verification. Implement FAI, PPAP-like processes, and configuration control suitable for low-volume, high-reliability defence builds. Manage NCRs with root cause ownership, supplier corrective action requests (SCARs), and closure verification.

Support electronics architecture reviews from a quality, reliability, and compliance perspective, ensuring adherence to MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1275/704, JSS 55555, and applicable IEC standards. Evaluate component selection, derating margins, obsolescence risk, alternate sourcing, and assembly workmanship for defence lifecycle requirements.

Lead and validate subsea and environmental qualification testing aligned with MIL-STD-810, DNV, IEC 60068, ASTM, and defence project-specific QAPs.

Define acceptance criteria for pressure, vacuum, leak, corrosion, vibration, shock, thermal cycling, and long-duration soak tests relevant to operational depth and mission profile.

Establish and maintain defence-grade control plans, inspection records, traceability logs, and configuration baselines. Monitor and report quality KPIs such as first-pass yield, rework, scrap, NCR trends, supplier quality index, and field failure data, ensuring audit readiness.

Review and approve mechanical designs with focus on pressure housings, sealing systems, fasteners, penetrators, coatings, and material compatibility for defence and subsea use. Ensure compliance with GD&T (ASME Y14.5), ISO 2768, and defence manufacturing tolerances. Conduct root cause analysis of leakage, corrosion, fatigue, deformation, and manufacturing defects.

Mentor junior QA engineers on defence standards, audit practices, documentation discipline, and first-time-right manufacturing. Option 1: B.E./ B. Tech in EEE/ Industrial Engineering/Mechanica/Mechatronics

4+ years of experience in Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical Experience in Quality assurance and control in charge, knowledge of standards like ISO, and certifications (like Six Sigma, CQE, CMQ) are highly preferred


  • Experience with MIL-STD-461 / 810 / 1275 / 704 

  • Hands-on exposure to JSS 55555 projects 

  • Certification: CQE, CMQ/OE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt 

  • Prior experience in defence, aerospace, naval, or strategic electronics programs
