## About Pluto Pluto engineers scooter-sized vehicles purpose-built for last-mile delivery, carrying 2× more orders than conventional two-wheelers. ## About the Role Build and scale Pluto's supplier ecosystem across electrical and mechanical domains for EV platforms, driving cost, supplier strategy, and prototype-to-production readiness. ## Responsibilities * Identify, onboard, and develop suppliers across electrical commodities such as PCBA, controllers, sensors, wiring harnesses, connectors, and EMS. * Build supplier networks across mechanical commodities including fabrication, casting, machining, plastics, and sheet metal. * Drive supplier performance across quality, cost, delivery, and development expectations. * Conduct supplier capability audits, capacity checks, and process reviews. * Own sourcing strategy, cost-down initiatives, localization, value engineering, and BOM optimization. * Lead commercial closures including pricing, contracts, NDAs, GPAs, and INCOTERMS. * Enable sourcing for alpha, beta, and pilot builds while preparing suppliers for scale-up and mass production. * Work with engineering teams on make-versus-buy decisions, design-to-cost, and supplier capability alignment. * Monitor supplier KPIs, manage sourcing risks, and build alternate sourcing strategies. * Coordinate with design, quality, manufacturing, homologation, planning, finance, and logistics teams. ## Requirements * 6-8 years of experience in EV, automotive, or electronics sourcing. * Strong understanding of PCB assembly, SMT, ICs, passives, controllers, sensors, fabrication, casting, machining, plastics, and sheet metal. * Experience with APQP, PPAP, and IATF processes. * Strong supplier development, negotiation, commercial closure, and stakeholder management skills. * Ability to work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and leadership teams in a fast-moving startup environment. * Strong cost modeling, BOM analysis, and Excel-driven analytical skills. * Comfort working with ERP or project tools such as SAP, Oracle, Zoho, Teamcenter, or JIRA.
