## About Pluto
Pluto engineers scooter-sized vehicles purpose-built for last-mile delivery, carrying 2× more orders than conventional two-wheelers.
## About the Role
Build battery test setups, execute cell, module, battery pack, and swapping infrastructure validation tests, and ensure compliance with EV safety and performance standards.
## Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain battery test setups for cell, module, and battery pack testing.
* Execute and support AIS-156 test methods and related EV battery safety and performance tests.
* Perform functional, performance, abuse, thermal, and environmental testing for battery packs.
* Conduct cell-level tests including lifecycle testing, SOC/SOH algorithm verification, and charge-discharge characterization.
* Prepare detailed test scenarios, validation requirements, test plans, DVP, and DVP&R documentation.
* Operate and manage battery testers, cell testers, thermal chambers, data loggers, and auxiliary lab instruments.
* Perform CAN logging, data acquisition, and signal validation during tests.
* Validate battery pack and system designs against requirements and test results.
* Test battery swapping station infrastructure including electrical safety, protections, interlocks, communication handshakes, charging behavior, discharging behavior, idle behavior, mechanical fitment, alignment, repeatability, and endurance.
* Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, failure modes, and root causes.
* Prepare clear test reports, summaries, and technical presentations for internal teams.
* Support field testing, pilot deployments, and failure investigations for battery packs and swap infrastructure.
## Requirements
* Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in battery testing and validation.
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of AIS-156 testing requirements and procedures.
* Hands-on experience in battery pack testing and validation.
* Solid knowledge of lithium-ion cell testing, lifecycle testing, and degradation analysis.
* Experience with SOC/SOH behavior validation and correlation with test data.
* Familiarity with CAN tools, logging software, data acquisition, and signal validation.
* Knowledge of battery swapping systems, EV chargers, or energy infrastructure.
* Ability to independently plan, execute, analyze, and document tests.
* Good understanding of EV battery safety, electrical fundamentals, and thermal fundamentals.
