## About Pluto Pluto engineers scooter-sized vehicles purpose-built for last-mile delivery, carrying 2× more orders than conventional two-wheelers. ## About the Role Build battery test setups, execute cell, module, battery pack, and swapping infrastructure validation tests, and ensure compliance with EV safety and performance standards. ## Responsibilities * Design, build, and maintain battery test setups for cell, module, and battery pack testing. * Execute and support AIS-156 test methods and related EV battery safety and performance tests. * Perform functional, performance, abuse, thermal, and environmental testing for battery packs. * Conduct cell-level tests including lifecycle testing, SOC/SOH algorithm verification, and charge-discharge characterization. * Prepare detailed test scenarios, validation requirements, test plans, DVP, and DVP&R documentation. * Operate and manage battery testers, cell testers, thermal chambers, data loggers, and auxiliary lab instruments. * Perform CAN logging, data acquisition, and signal validation during tests. * Validate battery pack and system designs against requirements and test results. * Test battery swapping station infrastructure including electrical safety, protections, interlocks, communication handshakes, charging behavior, discharging behavior, idle behavior, mechanical fitment, alignment, repeatability, and endurance. * Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, failure modes, and root causes. * Prepare clear test reports, summaries, and technical presentations for internal teams. * Support field testing, pilot deployments, and failure investigations for battery packs and swap infrastructure. ## Requirements * Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in battery testing and validation. * Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. * Strong understanding of AIS-156 testing requirements and procedures. * Hands-on experience in battery pack testing and validation. * Solid knowledge of lithium-ion cell testing, lifecycle testing, and degradation analysis. * Experience with SOC/SOH behavior validation and correlation with test data. * Familiarity with CAN tools, logging software, data acquisition, and signal validation. * Knowledge of battery swapping systems, EV chargers, or energy infrastructure. * Ability to independently plan, execute, analyze, and document tests. * Good understanding of EV battery safety, electrical fundamentals, and thermal fundamentals.
