## About Pluto Pluto engineers scooter-sized vehicles purpose-built for last-mile delivery, carrying 2× more orders than conventional two-wheelers. ## About the Role Define, design, integrate, and validate vehicle wiring harness architecture across power distribution, grounding, signal routing, communication, and physical integration. ## Responsibilities * Define end-to-end wiring architecture for vehicle systems including power distribution, grounding strategy, signal routing, and communication. * Create harness schematics, connection diagrams, splice plans, fuse allocation, relay allocation, and detailed design packages. * Size wires and select terminals, connectors, seals, and protective coverings based on electrical and mechanical requirements. * Design harness breakouts, branch lengths, connector orientations, and retention features. * Work with CAD and mechanical teams to route harnesses within the vehicle CAD environment. * Ensure compliance with bend radius, strain relief, clip locations, waterproofing, abrasion protection, and serviceability requirements. * Validate harness fitment during prototype builds and support on-ground build activities. * Identify and qualify harness vendors, connector suppliers, fuse boxes, terminals, and protective component suppliers. * Evaluate supplier prototypes and drive design feedback, manufacturing drawings, and process alignment. * Define and execute validation tests for continuity, insulation resistance, signal integrity, current loading, voltage drop, and thermal behavior. * Debug ground loops, intermittent contacts, short circuits, sensor noise, CAN communication faults, and EMI or EMC issues. * Maintain harness drawings, BoMs, wiring schematics, documentation, and revision history. ## Requirements * B.E. or B.Tech in Automotive, Electrical, Electronics, or a related field. * 3+ years of experience building, validating, and executing wiring harnesses for electric 2W or 3W platforms. * Strong understanding of low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems. * Experience with EV systems such as batteries, BMS, MCU, DC-DC converters, and chargers. * Ability to design wiring schematics, connection diagrams, harness architectures, and routing strategies. * Knowledge of power distribution, grounding strategy, signal routing, EMI/EMC considerations, and CAN communication wiring. * Understanding of load calculations, voltage drop analysis, current carrying capacity, and derating. * Hands-on ability to build prototype harnesses through stripping, crimping, terminating, and splicing. * Skilled in using crimp tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, continuity testers, and related debugging tools. * Experience with harness installation, routing, clipping, securing, and troubleshooting on physical vehicles. * Strong communication, vendor coordination, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills.
