**Roles and responsibilities:**
*Desired to have worked across all phases of new product development processes- initiation, requirements management, concepting, detailed design, verification & validation, handing over for production with accountability of deliverables across phases.
*Designing for weight, volume, thermal performance, and IP sealing while ensuring serviceability and manufacturability (DFM/DFA).
*Good working knowledge of Engineering Fundamentals, DFMEA, GD&T, drawing for production, tolerance analysis, Engineering Calculations and other product development associated techniques and tools.
*Good knowledge on various manufacturing processes.
*Conducting root cause analyses (RCAs) for issues during testing and field deployment.
*Proficient with 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks)
*Prepare, modify, and release drawing packages into the PLM system.
Other Competencies Risk Management (FMEA), Vendor development, Cost Engineering & Estimation
**Technical Skills**
Strong understanding of DFMA principles, mechanical tolerating, and design optimization for fabrication.
