Preferred Experience 5–7 years of experience in NVH / vibration engineering Strong fundamentals in structural dynamics and signal processing Knowledge of environmental standards (DO-160, MIL-STD) Familiarity with flight data analysis, correlation, and anomaly detection Exposure to UAV or aerospace platforms preferred **Certification Awareness:** Experience with aerospace qualification standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-810) **Reliability Engineering:** Knowledge of fatigue, durability, and life prediction under vibration loads **Automation:** Ability to develop automated scripts for vibration data processing and reporting **Innovation:** Exposure to advanced damping materials and smart NVH solutions Required Skill Sets & Tools* **FEA:** ANSYS Mechanical, Altair OptiStruct * **NVH Tools:** Simcenter 3D, Simcenter Testlab * **Data:** MATLAB, Python * **Testing:** Shaker table systems, acoustic measurement setups Qualifications Bachelor’s / Master’s in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering Key Responsibility Areas* **Analysis & Simulation** * Perform harmonic and random vibration analysis * Conduct Shock Response Spectrum (SRS) and modal analysis (FEA + experimental correlation) * Identify and mitigate resonance risks in UAV structures * **Isolation & Design** * Design vibration isolation systems (elastomer mounts, wire-rope isolators) * Optimize damping, stiffness, and transmissibility for critical components * **Testing & Validation** * Execute shaker table tests (sine, random, shock) * Conduct acoustic signature testing for UAV platforms * Perform modal testing and correlate results with simulation models * **Signal Processing & Data Analysis** * Analyze vibration data using FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) and PSD (Power Spectral Density) * Process flight log vibration data to extract frequency content, damping, and peak loads * Identify anomalies and recommend corrective design measures * **Cross-Functional Collaboration** * Work with structures team on stiffness tuning * Collaborate with mechanical design team on mounting strategies * Partner with avionics team to ensure component survivability under vibration loads
